Andrew Taylor

Andrew Taylor has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Andrew is currently the VP of Engineering at Causaly, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Matillion from 2018 to 2022, starting as a Release Manager, then progressing to the roles of Director of Engineering and ultimately VP Engineering. Before Matillion, they were a Senior Cloud Customer Solutions Consultant at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from 2016 to 2018, where they provided support for self-install customers and managed private clouds. From 2012 to 2016, Andrew was a Senior Live Services Specialist at Sage, where they played a key role in migrating a SAAS application to the Amazon cloud. Andrew began their career as a Contract Linux Administrator at Utterly Forked Ltd from 2010 to 2016, providing operations support and infrastructure design to various companies. Prior to that, Andrew worked as a Senior System Administrator at AOL from 2007 to 2010, where they managed a large estate of production and pre-production instances. Andrew started their career as an ICT Website Manager at City of Durham Council from 2005 to 2007, leading the delivery of an eGovernment website project. In 2002, Andrew served as an IT Manager at Carshock, where they implemented open-source technologies to improve IT efficiency for an automotive retailer.

Andrew Taylor received a Bachelor's degree in Computing from the University of Sunderland, which they completed between 1997 and 2001. Additionally, they obtained various certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional in 2014 and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate in 2013. Andrew also earned AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in 2013.
