Sergios Karagiannakos

Sergios Karagiannakos is a Senior Data Engineer at Causaly since March 2023, focusing on building big data pipelines and developing a scalable data infrastructure utilizing technologies such as Python, Bigquery, and GCP. As the Founder and Author of AI Summer since May 2018, Sergios has established a major educational platform for Deep Learning, attracting over 50,000 monthly visitors and producing extensive content and open-source projects. Previously, Sergios worked at HubSpot as a Software Engineer in Machine Learning Infrastructure, where responsibilities included building machine learning services with capacity for over 1 billion requests daily. Early career experience includes a role as a Data Scientist at EWORX S.A., where Sergios developed a web application for the European Training Foundation and created a library for source code analysis. Academically, Sergios holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, earned between 2012 and 2017.
