James Cunningham

James Cunningham is a highly experienced professional in the field of computer graphics and visual effects, currently serving as a Computer Graphics Supervisor and Lead Unreal Layout and Lighting at CAUSE AND FX since October 2022. Prior to this role, James was a Senior Layout Technical Director at Wētā FX and held multiple positions at Amazon Studios, including VFX Art Designer and Information Technology Support Engineer. James has significant directing experience, including at JamKat Films, where projects were developed involving robotics, and at Faraway Animation, where an animated feature film was directed from script to animatic. With a substantial background in academia as a Senior Lecturer in 3D Animation at Media Design School, James has also directed numerous short films and served as Head of 3D at Digital Post, overseeing visual effects for commercials. James holds a BFA and MFA from the Elam School of Fine Arts.
