Helen Ball

Helen Ball is a seasoned leader in the charitable sector, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Causeway Charity since November 2023, where the focus is on empowering marginalized and vulnerable individuals. Prior to this role, Helen held the position of Development Director at Leeds Community Foundation and GiveBradford from June 2021 to November 2023, overseeing initiatives that support numerous charities and address inequalities. Helen also served as Chief Executive at Barnsley Civic Enterprise Trust Ltd from October 2012 to June 2021, driving the organization’s growth. Earlier experience includes a significant role as Head of Culture and Visitor Economy at Barnsley MBC, managing a large department with a £9 million budget. Helen Ball obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Studies from Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds, between 2000 and 2003.
