Julian Roche is an accomplished academic and industry expert with extensive experience in commodities, risk management, and agribusiness. Currently serving as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow and Adjunct Lecturer at The University of Western Australia since May 2013, Julian also holds the position of Chief Economist at Cavendish Maxwell in the United Arab Emirates since January 2019. As the owner of RAP Training, Julian focuses on training in real estate, agribusiness, and infrastructure finance. Previous roles include Managing Director at MHC International, Vice-President at UNCTAD, Consultant at the London Commodity Exchange, and Business Development Manager. Julian’s educational background includes multiple degrees, with a Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy from The University of Edinburgh and a Doctor of Philosophy in Risk Management Policy from Deakin University, among others.
