Gopinath Krishnamurthy

Gopinath Krishnamurthy has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Gopinath currently works at Cavli Wireless as the Vice President EMEA Sales & Business Development since March 2023. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2023, they worked at Fibocom as the Vice President - EMEA, where they focused on leading the development of European IoT business and sales growth. During their time at Fibocom, they secured key global accounts in the Smart Energy, Asset Tracking, and Telematics segments, and won major contracts worth $14 million.

Before Fibocom, Gopinath held the position of Senior Director - EMEA Sales at Rambus from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they worked in the Cryptographic Research BU, handling Embedded Silicon IP for hardware security and high-speed memory interfaces. Gopinath was responsible for building a pipeline of opportunities for the security offering in Europe, Israel, and India, with a focus on developing the automotive, communications, and IoT verticals.

Prior to Rambus, Gopinath worked at Sierra Wireless from 2006 to 2017. Gopinath began as an Area Sales Manager - EMEA, focusing on South Africa, Russia, and Ukraine, and later became the EMEA - Sales Director. In this role, they were responsible for sales in EMEA and worked with a distribution network of 19 partner organizations. Their main focus was enabling key verticals such as energy and transportation using 3G & LTE based IoT solutions.

Gopinath's work experience also includes roles at Sony Mobile Communications, Ericsson Espana, and Melsons Plc., where they held positions such as Business Manager, Marketing Manager - M2M, and Regional Branch Manager.

Gopinath Krishnamurthy's education history begins in 1976 when they attended D.A.V Higher Secondary School. Gopinath completed their Secondary School Certificate there, focusing on subjects such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

After completing their secondary education, from 1988 to 1989, Gopinath attended SRM Engg College where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Following their bachelor's degree, Gopinath attended Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) from 1990 to 1996. During their time there, they pursued a Master of Technology degree specializing in Automation and Control Systems.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, from 1998 to 2000, Gopinath enrolled in the IESE Business School. Gopinath pursued a Master of Business Administration degree, with a focus on General Administration, Marketing, and Finance.
