Byung Lee

Byung Lee is a highly experienced scientist with a career spanning over three decades in the field of chemistry. Currently serving as Scientist III at Cayman Chemical since August 2004, Byung Lee mentors colleagues in medicinal chemistry and focuses on team-building and professional development. Previously held managerial roles where responsibilities included evaluating patent challenges and designing new biologically relevant compounds. Prior experience at Pfizer Animal Health as Senior Scientist included the discovery of derquantel and supervising associates in the synthesis of biologically active compounds. Byung Lee holds a Postdoctoral degree in Organic Chemistry from Colorado State University, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Seoul National University.
