John-Paul Mead has an extensive education history. John-Paul obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied from 1988 to 1993. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended the NYU Grossman School of Medicine from 1994 to 1998 and earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, specializing in Medicine.
In 2001, John-Paul Mead obtained certification in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Continuing their education, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in International Public Health/International Health at The George Washington University from 2021 to 2023.
In addition to their degrees, they also hold certifications in Subspecialty Certification in Addiction Medicine from the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) which they obtained in December 2020.
