William Supplee has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. William started their professional journey as a Tutor at C2 Education in 2008. Later, they worked as a Process Development Engineer at Cree from 2010 to 2011, where they played a key role in troubleshooting and developing new production processes for LED chips. In 2013, they served as a Data Scientist in Clinical Epidemiology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where they conducted data analysis to identify socioeconomic predictors of mortality in breast cancer cases. From 2015 to 2015, they were a Graduate Research Fellow at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. At Stanford Health Care, where they worked as an Internal Medicine Resident from 2018 to 2020, they completed an internship and also pursued clinical informatics. In 2020, they joined Insight Data Science as a Health Data Fellow, where they modeled length of stay and engineered clinical features to optimize ICU utilization. Additionally, they made notable contributions at Octave Bioscience as a Principal Data Scientist and later as a Lead Data Scientist, where they derived insights and predictive analytics for multiple sclerosis. Currently, they are serving as a Resident Physician and Chief Medical Resident at Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca, starting from 2021.
William Supplee received their Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007. William later attended Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine degree in Medicine in 2018.
