Richard H. Wohl

Richard Wohl has over three decades of experience in the legal field. Richard began their career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Dorothy Nelson at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Richard then worked as an Attorney-Adviser for East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. Wohl later joined the law firm Morrison & Foerster, where they specialized in institutional finance, consumer banking, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate work. Richard then moved on to work at IndyMac Bank and CWM REIT as the General Counsel and President of Retail Banking, overseeing regulatory approvals and managing corporate functions. Following this, they co-founded Fortace LLC, a consulting firm that focuses on mitigating risk for financial institutions. Wohl also had a one-year sabbatical at First Republic Bank as the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Currently, they are serving as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Citizens Business Bank, managing all legal affairs for the bank and its holding company.

Richard Wohl completed their Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in History at Stanford University from 1976 to 1980. Richard then pursued further education at Harvard Law School from 1980 to 1983, where they achieved a Juris Doctor degree with honors (cum laude) in the field of Law. Additionally, Richard obtained a certification as a Certified Mortgage Banker from the Mortgage Bankers Association in June 2005.
