Technical Field Officer

The Technical Field Officer (TFO) is responsible for the critical care of farms, ensuring they are maintained in optimum condition (litter, feed system, water system, brooding system, ventilation system, monitoring devices and bio-security), to be available for chick placement.

Some of the core duties include:

• To inspect farms for compliance with contract and cooperative agreement standards and advises farmers regarding development programs to aid in producing quality poultry products.
• Reports findings of farm conditions, laboratory tests, recommendations and farmers’ reactions to keep the company apprised of farmers efforts to furnish quality products.
• Assists / trains growers, supervisors and workers in the proper use of control systems, devices and equipment.

  

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Associate of Science or Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Jamaica Agricultural Sector with emphasis in poultry production. Experience in Agricultural extension.
• Three (3) year’s experience in related field.
• Must be living in the St. Catherine (Linstead)
