Steve Schermerhorn has extensive experience in the homebuilding industry. Steve currently serves as the President of Southgate Homes since March 2021, and prior to that, they held the same position at Normandy Homes starting in May 2020. Steve also has a significant tenure at CB JENI Homes, where they served as the President from July 2014 onwards. Steve initially joined CB JENI Homes as the Controller in April 2010 and later became the CFO in February 2013. Steve also had a previous CFO role at Normandy Homes from February 2013 to July 2014. Before transitioning to the homebuilding sector, they worked as an Accountant at Oxy from October 2008 to April 2010. Additionally, they gained experience as a Purchasing Agent/Financial Analyst at Portrait Homes from September 2007 to October 2008 and as a Corporate Accountant at Pasquinelli Management from December 2005 to October 2008.
Steve Schermerhorn completed their MBA in Accounting & Finance from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas, from 2009 to 2011. Prior to this, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on Accounting from the University of South Dakota, from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, Steve Schermerhorn was involved in the Disney Internship Learning Program (ILP), although no specific dates or degrees were provided for this experience.
