Sam Liao has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and research fields. Sam started their career as an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Neuroscience in 2010, followed by a position at the Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory in 2011. In 2012, they joined IQVIA as an Engagement Manager, where they specialized in healthcare management consulting and worked with various multinational and local companies. Sam had expertise in areas such as new product launch, pricing and access, and clinical assessment. In 2018, they became a Vice President at aihc capital, a healthcare specialty hedge fund, where they focused on the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech sectors. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President at CBC Group, starting in 2021.

Sam Liao attended Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology.
