Jessica Schmiedchen

Jessica Schmiedchen is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in unscripted content development. Since May 2011, Jessica has held various senior roles at CBC, including Director of Development and Executive In Charge of Development for Unscripted Content. Prior to this, Jessica worked as a freelance Development Writer and Consultant from 2008 to July 2011 and served as Creator and Associate Producer at run run revolution (Lively Media) from 2010 to 2011. Jessica’s career began at Ellis Vision Incorporated, where Jessica progressed from Production Coordinator to Development Manager and ultimately Development Director. Jessica's early role as Project Coordinator at Television Renaissance further solidified a strong foundation in media production. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts, Honours degree in Radio and Television Arts from Toronto Metropolitan University.
