David Thurton

National Reporter, Parliamentary Correspondent at CBC/Radio-Canada

David Thurton is a seasoned journalist with a strong background in political reporting and environmental policy. Currently serving as a National Reporter and Parliamentary Correspondent at CBC/Radio-Canada since October 2012, Thurton delivers original stories from the Parliamentary Bureau, having previously worked across various regions in Canada, including the Arctic and Alberta. Thurton's journalistic journey began with internships, including a prestigious Joan Donaldson Scholar position at CBC. Notably, experience as a Reporter for RUtv, Online Managing Editor for The Ryersonian, and Staff Reporter at Guardian Media Limited has contributed to Thurton’s comprehensive skill set. An alumnus of Ryerson University, Thurton earned a Bachelor of Journalism and possesses a diverse educational background from St. Mary's College.
