Sonya Buyting

Sonya Buyting is an experienced producer currently working at CBC Radio One, where production responsibilities include the weekly science show Quirks & Quarks, as well as creating one-hour specials for the program. Prior to CBC, Sonya held various production roles at Cineflix for the show Mayday, and at High Fidelity HDTV as a producer, director, and host for multiple series. Additional experience includes producing and hosting the Sassy Science Podcast, segment production and reporting for Daily Planet on Discovery Channel Canada, and earlier roles in radio at CBC and C102. Sonya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry-Biology from the University of New Brunswick and studied at Ryerson University.
