Lavi Ben Shimol is currently a PhD student and project manager at CBG - Cyber@Ben Gurion University, focusing on cybersecurity in managed serverless environments since April 2023. Previously, Lavi served as a cyber security researcher at Deutsche Telekom Innovation Labs @ BGU from February 2021 to April 2023, where the development of a situational awareness tool for serverless cloud environments was a key responsibility. Earlier experience includes a role as print production manager at Iprint from March 2011 to October 2015, which involved managing shifts, overseeing print production, conducting quality checks, and handling customer service. Lavi's academic background includes pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, alongside a master’s degree in Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics and an engineer's degree in Communication Systems Engineering from the same institution.
