Prasad Jayewardene

Prasad Jayewardene has a diverse and extensive work experience in finance and auditing. Prasad is currently working at CBL Group as the Head of Finance International Business, a role they started in April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Finance Manager - Financial Planning & Business Partnering from November 2020 to September 2023, and as the Finance Manager - Financial Control, Analysis & Reporting from December 2019 to October 2020.

Before joining CBL Group, Prasad worked at Tuffline Limited as the Finance Manager from December 2014 to December 2019. In this role, they were responsible for preparing the annual business plan, budget, and ensuring compliance with SLFRS and LKAS.

Prasad also has experience working as an Accountant at S-lon Lanka (Pvt) Ltd from February 2011 to December 2014, where their responsibilities included cost and management accounting, reviewing financial statements, and preparing the annual budget.

Early in their career, Prasad worked at KPMG as a Senior Auditor from December 2007 to February 2011. In this role, they were involved in planning and coordinating audit engagements, resolving technical issues, evaluating organizational policies and procedures, and attending planning meetings with clients.

Prasad Jayewardene's education history includes obtaining an Associate Membership from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka from 2004 to 2011. Additionally, Prasad Jayewardene completed a BSc. in Accountancy (Special) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura from 2005 to 2009, with a focus on Accounting and Finance.
