Joerg Weber

Joerg Weber is an established academic and advisor in the field of community-based inclusive development and disability studies. Currently serving as an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Cape Town since January 2021, Weber has extensive experience with CBM International as a Senior Global Advisor and Regional Advisor since January 2006. Previous roles include Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from July 2011 to December 2016 and Consultant for the World Health Organization from July 2014 to July 2016. In terms of education, Weber holds a PhD in Disability Studies in Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a Master's degree in South Asian Studies from SOAS University of London, and a BA in Cultural Anthropology and South Asian Studies from the University of Hamburg. Training was also received at Berufsfachschule der GfEB and Tribhuvan University Kirtipur.
