Melissa Longla

Melissa Longla is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in humanitarian protection and social support roles. Currently serving as a Social Protection Programme Officer at CBM Christian Blind Mission since November 2024, Melissa has previously held positions such as Protection Technical Referent at INTERSOS from January 2023 to October 2024, and Protection & Rule of Law Team Leader at the International Rescue Committee between March and December 2022. Additionally, Melissa worked as a Protection Officer, Gender-Based Violence Case Management Officer, and Social Worker at INTERSOS from October 2018 to January 2022. Earlier experience includes serving as Project Coordinator for Community Initiative for Sustainable Development - COMINSUD from January 2017 to November 2018, and volunteering as a Gender Officer at the Divisional Delegation of Women's Empowerment and the Family, Mezam, from February 2015 to December 2016. Educational qualifications include studies at the Pan African Institute for Development and the University of Buea.
