Compie Newman

Compie Newman is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the real estate and finance sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at CBRE in Charlotte since June 2010, Compie Newman also held the position of Senior Vice President focusing on Debt & Structured Finance. Prior to CBRE, Compie Newman was SVP Managing Director at NorthMarq Capital from August 2007 to June 2010, and served as President at RBC Capital Advisors from April 1996 to May 2007. Earlier experience includes a role as a Construction Lender at First Union National Bank from 1989 to 1996, providing commercial and residential financing in the Charlotte area. Compie Newman’s military background includes service as a Lieutenant in the US Navy, working as a recruiter for nuclear power officers and as a Naval Aviator flying P3-C Anti-submarine Warfare Aircraft. Compie Newman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Resources Management from the United States Naval Academy in 1982.
