Alex Sungkyu Koo

Alex Sungkyu Koo is an accomplished professional in 3D animation and real-time technology with extensive experience in academia and the media industry. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at New York University since January 2022, Koo teaches courses focused on AI/LLM integrated creative pipelines. Concurrently, Koo has been a 3D/STUDIO XR Graphics Developer at CBS News since January 2018. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor at Pratt Institute, 3D Artist at Disney ABC Television Group, and Art Director at Mannic Media. Koo holds an MFA in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA/MFA in Design and Visual Communications from Chung-Ang University, showcasing a strong foundation in both education and creative practice.
