Michael Meinhardt

Michael Meinhardt is the President and owner of Meinhardt Productions, specializing in satellite transmission for national television news and sports networks since 2004. With extensive experience in satellite broadcast engineering, Meinhardt has covered major national events and is also a regular television photographer for CBS News since 2001, contributing to programs such as CBS Evening News and CBS This Morning. As a freelance news photographer for major networks including CBS, NBC, CNN, and ABC since 2000, notable works include extensive coverage of the September 11 attacks and Hurricane Katrina. Meinhardt previously worked as a Network TV News Photographer for NBC News and served as a firefighter/EMT with the Lake Zurich Fire Rescue Department for 22 years. Educational credentials include a BA in Communications from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and additional studies at Columbia College Chicago.
