Steve Benson is an experienced professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Service and the Service Learning Coordinator at La Roche University since August 2017. In addition, Steve has worked as a Senior Instructor for the Outdoor Discovery Program at L.L.Bean since May 2019, providing outdoor education in activities such as kayaking and wilderness survival. Previous roles include Resident Director at Calvin College and Gordon College, where responsibilities involved leadership and programming for residence halls. Steve has also contributed as a Therapeutic Mentor at Lahey Health Behavioral Services, focusing on youth support and skill development, and gained customer service experience at People's United Bank and REI. Steve holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education from Geneva College and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Political Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
