Brooke Laskin

Senior Vice President at CCS Fundraising

Brooke’s passion for philanthropy developed from her own career experiences both relying on and distributing philanthropic funding. She is passionate about the ability of a shared mission to unite communities and create change.

Prior to joining CCS in 2015, Brooke worked with Chicago-based education and social service organizations including Youth Guidance and One Million Degrees. She also worked at State Farm supporting strategic initiatives and insurance, as well as Habitat for Humanity in Indianapolis.

Her areas of expertise include campaign planning and feasibility studies, major gifts strategy, planned giving and gifts of major assets, campaign management, development office assessment, prospective funder landscaping, and staff and volunteer orientation and training. She has worked with client partners across the Midwest of all sizes across a variety of sectors, with a special interest in social and human services.

As a trained social worker, Brooke is known for bringing empathy to her work. She is looked to for coaching and supporting colleagues, previously acting as the Mentoring Officer. She has served as a co-chair and on planning committees for multiple learning conferences at CCS, co-founded the employee resource group Pets at CCS, and formerly served on the Gift Planning Committee, among other roles.

Brooke received a Masters in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelors of Science from The University of Arizona.
