Rachel Keir

Assistant Vice President at CCS Fundraising

Rachel holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and has served as a fundraising professional for more than a decade. Her experience spans across the nonprofit sector and her expertise includes major gift strategy and implementation, pipeline and prospect development, and development operations and staffing design. Rachel is driven, detail oriented, and approachable. She has demonstrated the ability to navigate complex relationships, systemize functions to deliver key outcomes, and lead multidisciplinary teams to produce immediate results. Rachel is mission driven and a true believer in the power of philanthropy. Her desire to make an impact in nonprofit fundraising began in her early career working for a small school with increasing and significant needs. In this role, Rachel was able to see the difference financial generosity makes firsthand, changing lives and communities. Since then, Rachel has supported, managed, or led more than 10 development teams and campaigns to raise nearly $200 million in New England and New York.

The scope of Rachel’s work at CCS includes feasibility and planning studies, campaign management, development professional onboarding, board training, and interim development management. Most recently at CCS, Rachel worked with Buckingham Browne & Nichols schools to advance their $85 million working campaign goal and craft a 3 to 5-year strategic alumni/ae fundraising plan. Prior to BB&N, Rachel’s long-term client was the National Women’s Hall of Fame located in Seneca Falls, NY. Rachel was responsible for building a development structure for the organization from the ground up. Rachel conducted a 3-month planning study that ultimately created the road map for a $25 million campaign effort that she led and managed for 18 months. Included in her scope of work was the facilitating and onboarding of two key searches, including the Chief Executive Officer role. Prior to these engagements, Rachel provided counsel to several non-profit organizations in the arts and culture, education, healthcare, advocacy, religious, and human services sector.
