Romana Hussain

Romana Hussain is the Employee Engagement Manager at CCS Fundraising. Prior to this, they were the Equity in Philanthropy Fellow at Rockwood Leadership Institute from April 2021 to July 2021. Romana also served as the Líderes Fellow at Theirpanics in Philanthropy from June 2019 to February 2020.

From April 2014 to June 2021, Romana Hussain was a Program Officer at Washington Area Women's Foundation where they developed grantmaking strategies to support youth organizing and to end gender-based violence. Romana also planned and tracked budgets to shape strategic investments. Furthermore, they collaborated with other funders to provide capacity building to grantees, to foster peer learning, and to increase aligned giving in the DC region.

Romana Hussain completed their Master of Arts in Public Policy and Women’s Studies at The George Washington University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Economics at Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México.
