Kristin Balfanz-Vertiz

Kristin Balfanz-Vertiz is currently working as a Communications Lead at CDC Foundation, supporting the Illinois Department of Public Health Immunization Department. Kristin has experience managing teams of case investigators and contact tracers for COVID-19. Kristin has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the College of Lake County, a COVID-19 Lead Case Investigator at Lake County Health Department, and as a Long Term Substitute Teacher at Beach Park School District #3. Additionally, Kristin served as a Director at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital for nearly two decades. Kristin holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
