Virgil Jackson

Virgil Jackson is a Public Health Analyst at the CDC Foundation with experience in epidemiology and public health data analysis. Prior roles include coordinating drug overdose epidemiology surveillance at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, where Jackson monitored the state's Prescription Drug Monitoring Program, developed an opioid dashboard, and supervised a COVID-19 response team. Additional experience includes working as an STI Epidemiologist at the State Hygienic Laboratory, conducting research as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Iowa, and volunteering with Iowa's Harm Reduction Coalition. Jackson holds a Master's in Epidemiology and a Bachelor of Science in Global Health Studies from the University of Iowa.
