Marissa McMeen, MPH, MLS(ASCP), CIC, FAPIC has over 16 years of experience in the healthcare field. Marissa began their career in 2005 as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Nemours duPont Hospital for Children. In 2011, they moved to Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals as an Infection Control Practitioner. In 2021, they joined the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Quality Improvement Specialist/Infection Preventionist and also began working as a Public Health Analyst/Infection Preventionist at Lantana Consulting Group.
Marissa McMeen obtained their Master of Public Health (MPH) from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2011. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from King's College in 2004. In 2013, they obtained their Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certification from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. In 2005, they earned their Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP-MLS) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). In June 2022, they became a Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (FAPIC) from APIC.
