William Parra

William Parra is a retired senior advisor with a robust background in management, analytical skills, and conflict resolution, having worked extensively in government, multilateral, and non-profit organizations. They served as Deputy Director at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 1996 to 2000 and held various leadership roles, including President and Chief Executive Officer at Empatha, Inc. and Senior Vice President at the American Social Health Association from 2000 to 2006. Parra also contributed to global health initiatives as a Programme Management Officer at the World Health Organization and later as Executive Director of the Secretariat for Malaria Zero. They earned a Master of Science in Urban Life from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Santa Clara University.
