Andrea Anason has extensive experience in public health policy and management, currently serving as the Associate Director for Policy at the Public Health Infrastructure Center within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) since October 2005. In this role, Andrea provides strategic direction for policy development and legislative activities. Previous positions at CDC include Deputy Associate Director for Policy in various centers, where Andrea managed policy activities related to public health preparedness and nutrition. Andrea's earlier experience includes serving as Study Director at the Institute of Medicine, contributing to significant reports on vaccine safety and public health during terrorism threats, and working as a Health Policy Analyst at the Department of Health and Human Services. Andrea holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Yale School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Northwestern University.
