Keith Aikens

Keith Aikens is a seasoned health communication specialist with extensive experience in public relations and marketing communications. Currently employed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since April 2022, Aikens provides expert guidance on science- and audience-based health behavior change strategies. Previous roles include serving as an independent communications consultant, where Aikens offered strategic counsel on equity, inclusion, and public health communication. Aikens held leadership positions at McKing Consulting as Vice President, managing government client accounts and corporate communication services, and was a Communications Officer at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, developing culturally-intelligent strategies for grantmaking initiatives. Aikens has also worked in various roles at notable public relations firms, emphasizing healthcare communication and community outreach. Aikens holds a BA in Journalism/PR from Georgia State University.
