Laura Kollar

Laura Kollar is a Senior Health Scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where Kollar has worked since April 2015 in the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, specifically within the Division of Overdose Prevention. Prior roles include Behavioral Scientist and CDC Foundation Behavioral Scientist Fellow in the Division of Violence Prevention at the same center, as well as positions as an Instructor at Agnes Scott College and Research Project Manager and Instructor at the University of Georgia. Laura Kollar's earlier experience includes being a Senior Research Project Coordinator at Emory University and a Research Project Coordinator at Northwestern University. Kollar holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Communication Studies/Health Communication from the University of Georgia, a Master of Arts in Health Communication from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations from Michigan State University.
