Tyler M. Sharp

CDC Liaison To Department Of Defense

Tyler M. Sharp, Ph.D., is an experienced health scientist with 13 years in epidemiology, currently serving as an Epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Tyler’s expertise encompasses tropical arboviral diseases, field epidemiology, molecular virology, and project leadership. Tyler earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Virology and Microbiology from Baylor College of Medicine, where research focused on the characterization of viral proteins. Additionally, Tyler has held academic positions, including Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at both Oregon Health Sciences University and Yale School of Public Health.
