Krishnakumar Natarajan joined CDC as a Non-executive Director in 2020.
Krishnakumar co-founded global IT business Mindtree in 1999. As Executive Chairman, he played key roles in building the company’s innovative approach to delivering IT services and solutions to global 2000 enterprises, leadership development, and ensuring the business operated to high standards of governance. Prior to that, he held several key positions at Wipro, an India-based IT company. In 2013, Krishnakumar served as Chairman of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), where he worked to strengthen the Indian IT industry to build a globally competitive ecosystem. He now serves as the Chairman of the NASSCOM Foundation.
Krishnakumar is the Managing Partner of Mela Ventures and alongside his wife Akila, runs their personal foundation “Mela” which is focused on helping girls living in rural areas to attain professional qualifications and helping senior citizens. He is also an active member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
