Andrea Giugno

Andrea Giugno, PhD, is a seasoned data science professional with significant experience in various industries. Currently, Andrea serves as the Team Leader for Data Science at Cdiscount, a position held since August 2022, after working as a Senior Associate Data Scientist at PwC Deutschland from March 2020 to July 2022. During time at PwC, Andrea specialized in data engineering, data analysis for Business Intelligence, and Machine Learning with a focus on Natural Language Processing. Previous academic experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship in theoretical particle physics at the Arnold Sommerfeld Center, Ludwig Maximilians Universität from May 2016 to October 2019. Andrea holds a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution.
