David Sobel

David Sobel is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in economic analysis and project management across various sectors, particularly in water resources. Currently serving as an economist at CDM Smith since August 2022, David previously worked at the Bureau of Reclamation, where analytical expertise supported Federal water resource systems. Prior roles include regional economist at the US Army Corps of Engineers, focusing on economic and risk analysis for water projects, and consultant for the World Bank, where David managed investment lending activities in the water sector across multiple countries. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in International Economic Affairs from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder.
