Joseph MacHala

Joseph Machala is a Water Resources Engineer with extensive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, dam safety studies, and stormwater management. Currently serving as a Water Resources Engineer and Regional Team Leader at CDM Smith since February 2018, Joseph's previous roles include Project Manager at Kleinfelder and Water Resources Engineer at URS Corporation, where involvement in diverse projects ranged from mining and dam assessments to urban drainage solutions. Joseph holds a Master’s degree in Water Resources from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering. Additional experience includes positions at Tetra Tech and the United States Forest Service, further showcasing a well-rounded expertise in environmental engineering and fieldwork.
