Pharmacology Scientist at CDR-Life

Martina Priola has been working in the field of science for the past few years. Martina began their career in 2015 as a Kundendienstmitarbeiter at Swisscard AECS GmbH. In 2018, they took on the role of a Tutor at ABACUS Nachhilfeinstitut. In 2021, they began their Master Thesis at the Institute of Molecular Cancer Research | University of Zurich, where they worked on deciphering the interplay of eosinophils and regulatory T cells in Th1-driven bacterial Helicobacter pylori and Citrobacter rodentium infections as well as in a Th2-driven ovalbumin food allergy model. Additionally, they investigated how the gastric regulatory T cell compartment present during an Helicobacter pylori infection is affected by a second bacterial pathogen, Mycobacterium, which also chronically infects humans. Martina Priola is currently employed as a Technical Scientist Hit Characterization at CDR-Life Inc., a position they have held since 2022.

Martina Priola obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biomedicine from the University of Zurich in 2020. Martina then pursued a Master of Science in Biomedicine at the same university, which they are expected to complete in 2022. In 2021, they obtained the LTK Module 1 - Introductory course in laboratory animal science for persons conducting animal experiments SPECIES: MICE AND RATS certification from the Institut für Labortierkunde (LTK) Universität Zürich - Institute of Laboratory Animal Science University of Zurich. Additionally, they obtained a Spanish Language Certificate | DELE B2 from the Instituto Cervantes in 2015 and an Italian Language Diploma | CELI 3 B2 from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia in 2011.
