Kev Pinder began their work experience in 2003 with the Ministry of Defence, where they held various roles such as SO1 MASINT, Communications Engineer, SO2 Eng, JSSO, SEngO 1ACC, SO2 Defence Training Review at Blandford, Second in Command of 591 Signal Unit, and SO3 J6 (JFCIS). During their time at the Ministry of Defence, they were involved in tasks such as operational planning, management planning, engineering management, and communications provision. In 2015, they joined CDS Defence & Security as the Head of CDS Defence & Security Operational Support, where they provided leadership, contract and project management, and delivered operational, technical, and support services to the Ministry of Defence.

Kev Pinder's education history includes a period of study at Quanta in 2014, where they pursued a field of study in APMP. They also attended Open University from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Kev Pinder has obtained several certifications. In September 2009, they became a Chartered Engineer through the Institute of Engineering and Technology. More recently, in 2020, they completed various courses and trainings, including Microsoft Planner Essential Training, Agile Foundations, Embracing Unexpected Change, Excel for Mac 2016 Essential Training, Executive Presence on Video Conference Calls, Learning Microsoft Project, Managing Stress for Positive Change, Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant on Option B: Building Resilience, Time Management: Working from Home, and Working Remotely. These certifications were obtained through LinkedIn's platform.
