Brett A. Schmidt is vice president of the South region for CDW. Schmidt is responsible for the performance goals, strategic direction, business initiatives and talent development of the South region team for the company’s medium and large market segments.
Schmidt joined CDW in 1992 as an account manager and since joining the company, has held various positions of increasing responsibility in the corporate and public sector sales organizations. Schmidt has made significant contributions in the development of segmentation models for various business units, along with successfully developing highly effective sales teams. Schmidt has also been responsible for the sales and marketing activities within the nonprofit segment, overseeing a team exclusively focused on associations, foundations, faith-based organizations and social service groups. Most recently, Schmidt served as vice president of the West region within the corporate sales team prior to assuming his current role in July 2020.
Schmidt earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from Northern Illinois University.
