David Garzella is a distinguished expert in laser research and free electron laser technology, currently serving as the Laser R&D and Free Electron Laser Research Director at Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives since March 2024. Prior to this role, David Garzella held positions as Senior Scientist-First Researcher at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste, where contributions to the FEL Machine Physics Group included EEHG commissioning and CPA experiments on XUV FEL pulses.
