Axel Fauvel is currently a Doctorant at CEA since September 2023, focused on the convergence and stability of deterministic and stochastic methods for solving neutron noise equations with applications to mechanical vibrations in reactors. Prior experience includes a consultancy role at Orano, where work was conducted within the Strategy Department, and a position as an Engineer in Neutronics at IRSN, where significant research was performed on large cores with heavy reflectors and Monte-Carlo simulations using the SERPENT2 code. Additionally, Axel has experience in project management at EDF, where development of project management tools took place, and worked as a mathematics interrogator for the Ministry of Education during the health crisis. Earlier military service includes a position as Adjoint chef de section at the 2nd Regiment of Voluntary Military Service. Axel holds an engineering degree from École Polytechnique, a civil engineering degree in Nuclear Engineering from Mines Paris - PSL, and an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs. Academic achievements also include a high distinction Baccalauréat S.
