CEC (Community Enrichment Center)
Bryan Downer, CAPS, currently serves as President and CEO of the Community Enrichment Center (CEC) since January 2023, and previously held the position of Vice President of Property from March 2013 to January 2023. With a passion for community service, Bryan manages a diverse property portfolio and is part of the executive leadership team aimed at aiding those in need. Additionally, Bryan has been the Pastor of HomeTown Community Church since July 2009, fostering connections within the DFW area. Bryan's early career includes leadership roles at LightPointPress.com and Partners In Grime, as well as service on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Tarrant Chamber. Bryan holds a DCS in Theology from Tyndale Theological Seminary and an AA in General Education from Golden West College. Bryan's commitment to service is further highlighted by a tenure in the United States Coast Guard as a Petty Officer.

Vision: Vision Our vision at the CEC is to break the cycle of poverty and family violence Mission: Changing lives by restoring hope and sharing God’s love. For 30 years, the CEC has been a partner in change for our Northeast Tarrant low-income neighbors. The CEC has continued to grow and expand our services to assist and empower victims of family violence, homeless and low-income families and seniors across Tarrant County. Today, the CEC works directly with these families and individuals to move them out of crisis and into stability through employment readiness, high school equivalency, financial coaching, counseling, safe housing, food and basic necessities. These tools and Christ-centered resources help the CEC coaching staff to restore hope and share God’s love while guiding families toward a bright future which will end their cycle of poverty and/or family violence.
