Dr. Alison Burroughs

Dr. Alison Burroughs currently serves as the Special Education Building Coordinator at Cecil County Public Schools since August 2024. Previously, Dr. Burroughs held the position of Director of Education at Community Services Foundation, Inc. from June 2022 to June 2025, and was the Special Education Team Leader at New Castle County Vo-Tech from August 2011 to May 2023, a role also held at New Castle County Vo-Tech School District from 1992 to 2013. Additional experience includes serving as an Inclusion Specialist from September 2009 to June 2011 at New Castle County Vo-tech and as a Special Education Teacher at Colonial School District from 1991 to 1999. Dr. Burroughs holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University, alongside multiple master's degrees from Delaware State University in Educational Supervision and Curriculum Instruction, and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg.
