Aaron Despain

Aaron DeSpain serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Cedar Gate Technologies, overseeing IT security strategy and governance since January 2023. With over 18 years of experience in cybersecurity, Aaron also teaches as an Adjunct Instructor at Southern New Hampshire University, providing students with insights from real-world practices. Previous roles include CISO at Hoag Health System and Director of Threat Response and Investigations at Kaiser Permanente, where Aaron led cyber operations and incident response initiatives. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Information Assurance from Norwich University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Systems Management from Arizona State University. Aaron has also held advisory positions with organizations such as Evanta and Proofpoint, contributing to guidance and governance in the cybersecurity sector.
