Daniel Sumrok MD DFASAM FAAFP ABPM ABAM is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in addiction medicine and behavioral health care. Currently serving as a Member of the Consulting Staff at Cedar Recovery and as Medical Director at Cornerstone of Recovery since May 2022, Daniel focuses on trauma-informed care. Prior to these roles, Daniel was an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee from September 1991 to June 2022 and held the position of Medical Director at Elements Behavioral Health Recovery Ranch from November 2011 to June 2014. Additionally, Daniel served as Chief Executive Officer of SPIRIT LAKE RECOVERY, LLC from June 2003 to December 2010, overseeing the establishment of a men's residential treatment facility. Daniel holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Marshall University and a Bachelor of Arts in Regents Chemistry from West Virginia University.
