Gifted And Talented Education Coordinator at Cedars International Academy

Kimberly Vargas is an experienced educator with a strong background in middle school and gifted education. Currently serving as an 8th Grade Science Teacher at Hutto ISD since July 2024 and at Cedars International Academy since August 2012, Kimberly develops lesson plans based on Science TEKS, assesses student performance, and collaborates with local university programs to support teacher apprenticeships. Previous roles include Gifted and Talented Education Coordinator and District Materials Coordinator, where Kimberly assisted in the identification and development of gifted education services. Additional experience includes teaching 5th-grade Science, serving as a reviewer for high-quality science instructional materials with Safal Partners, and holding various teaching positions across multiple educational institutions since 1998. Kimberly holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of West Georgia.
