Costas Anastassiou is an accomplished academic and researcher in the fields of neurosurgery and neurology, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Cedars-Sinai since June 2021. Previously, Costas held the position of Professor (adj.) of Neurology at The University of British Columbia and worked as an Assistant Investigator at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, where leadership of a team of PhD-level computational scientists was demonstrated. Significant contributions include the development of advanced analytics for biological data integration and creation of a computational platform for data analysis using statistical methods. Costas also has experience as a Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow, focusing on data analysis platforms relating CNS signals to brain function. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Imperial College London and a Dipl. Ing. in Chemical Engineering from ETH Zürich.
